Cousins Plans Another Avenue Brand Project After GDOT Approves Full Diamond Interchange on 575

Since the Georgia DOT approved a full diamond interchange at Woodstock Parkway, formerly Rope Mill, the buzz has been about area development. It’s still 5 years away, but the new intersection on Interstate 575 right above the Towne Lake Parkway exit is already getting developers to start talking about pushing dirt. The new intersection announcement is expected to generate approximately 2 billion dollars in county wide commercial development.

One of the biggest named projects so far is the Cousins Properties planned development of another Avenue brand open air shopping center. This will be the largest Avenue brand project in Metro Atlanta and second largest overall in the 4 states where Cousins has built Avenue brand projects. It’s still 5 years away, but there should be 40 retailers in this 500,000 square foot, $50 million project.
